Art, Culture, and Popcorn at the MDW Fair

The MDW Fair, which began as a collaboration between the Public Media Institute, Document, Roots & Culture and threewalls, is a biannual showcase of independent art initiatives, spaces, galleries, and artist groups which highlights experimental culture locally, nationally, and internationally. This fun and vibrant gathering of creative souls took place Nov. 9-11 at the new Mana Contemporary Art Center in Pilsen and featured over 75 exhibitors, performers, and publishers. Sixty was there to let artists know about our archiving efforts and we had a great time. How can anyone do otherwise in such a playful, communal atmosphere, surrounded by the work of innovative artists and free popcorn?
