McKenzie Birmingham is the Editorial Assistant at Sixty. She is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago where she earned her BA in Theater and minored in Performing Arts Management. A solo performance class she took her junior year sparked her interest in creative writing. Since post-graduation, her career has transitioned away from theater performance. She has taken classes at Story Studio in Chicago and is currently enrolled in the writing program at Second City.
She has held a vast array of jobs within the creative arts industry including: interning at O’Connor casting, background acting on Chicago PD, contributing writer for local blog Meliorism, arts administrator for Chicago Children’s Theatre and artist manager for the Chicago Fringe Festival.
For the past 7 years McKenzie has called Chicago home but she’s actually from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin and will forever be a Cheese Head. She is a lover of dogs, television (this is the golden age!!) and adventure. And coffee.
