Accessibility Guide for ‘Sixty on Stage: Sonic Becomings’

The following is accessibility information for Sixty on Stage: Sonic Becomings at Elastic Arts 3429 W Diversey Ave on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, 7-10pm CST. If you have accessibility questions or requests, please contact us at tempestt.hazel@sixtyinchesfromcenter.org.

ASL Interpretation + Live Streaming

We will be providing live ASL interpretation at the event. When ASL interpretation or Live CART is requested and offered, accessibility seating will be marked and reserved for those who need unobstructed access to these services.

A live stream will be available during the event via Elastic Arts’ website.

Audio + Sound

The majority of the event will have music and a DJ, with short periods of spoken remarks throughout the event. Microphones and a PA system will be used during the event, and all speakers will be encouraged to use a microphone while speaking.

Masks

For those joining us in-person, masks are strongly encouraged and we will provide free masks for those who don’t have one. While drinks will be served, we ask that attendees wear their masks when not eating or drinking.

Entrances + Restrooms

Elastic Arts is a second floor music and performance venue and event space located above a storefront business [map]. The main entrance consists of a single door with approximately 16 steps before getting to the double doors of the entrance. Unfortunately, there is no elevator access at Elastic and the entrance is not wheelchair accessible.

Elastic Arts also has two multi-stall all-gender restrooms on the second floor, located at the end of a hallway just outside of the stage and seating area.

Performance Space

The event will take place in the large, open area of Elastic’s main performance space, with an unelevated stage. Chairs and high top tables will be set up throughout the event areas for those who want to take a seat during the event, and there will also be standing room. The space is designed for dramatic lighting options, so the space will likely be dimly lit with washes of color and images from stage lighting and video.

If you need to step out of the space to take a break for any reason, there is a closed off hallway leading to the restroom that can serve as a lower sensory space.
