Want to relive Prom Night? Take a walk down memory lane:

Prom Night is a party co-hosted by Autotelic Studios, Sixty Inches From Center and The Perch. This magical night offers Chicagoans another shot at the high school dance—and this time, the chaperones will be more forgiving, fashion-sense more sophisticated and all of the alcohol will be legal. (Sorry kids, this is a 21+ event.)

Among the many features, the night will include the giving of the first Pixtytelic Artist Award (nominated by you), special guest Chaperones who will select the most stylish attendees for the Prom Court, and a parting gift of a curated Prom Night Mixtape of slow-dance favorites selected by our city’s artists, writers, curators and arts organizers.

Prom Night will happen in collaboration with Sarah and Joseph Belknap (Artists), Tyler Deal (Artist), Esther Grimm (3Arts Foundation), Britt Julious (Chicago Tribuine, Vice, The Guardian, WBEZ), Victoria Martinez (Artist), Cecil McDonald Jr. (Artist), Alexandra Noe (Artist), Edyta Stepien (Artist), Sadie Woods (Sound Artist, Curator), and among sounds curated by our DJ The Bored Enthusiast.

The purpose of Prom Night is to continue our experimentations in ways to directly and more thoughtfully support artists, projects and small organizations while celebrating the community that we exist for. In the end, Prom Night will raise money to support Sixty Inches From Center, Autotelic and The Perch–three organizations with a shared ethos of generosity and missions to elevate the arts in Chicago. In turn and as an added bonus, we will use our own resources to award a nominated Chicago artist the Pixtytelic Artist Award, a multi-faceted arts prize.

Prom Night is generously supported by Ale Syndicate, Genesis Art Supply and Whole Foods.

Prom Night allows options for all kinds of prom-goers:

All tickets come with a drink ticket for a tasty beer from Ale Syndicate, punch or cocktail. Tickets are available at the door, but space is limited, so get your tickets early! When purchasing tickets or donating through Eventbrite, you will have the option of adding an artist-made corsage or boutonniere to your purchase (hand-made by Sarah + Joseph Belknap, Ali Noe, Victoria Martinez and other artists), nominating an artist for the artist award and getting extra drink tickets.

If you’re unable to attend, you can still show your love by donating so that your presence is felt even in your absence.
