Cows on Parade

It seems that the cows have escaped from the farm. Over the past two weeks, small, brightly colored cow stickers have begun appearing on light posts near the University of Chicago in Hyde Park. To date, I’ve only discovered two, but the second one had something to say: “I came by to let you all know I have finally reconsidered my position on post-Jungian analysis. Can you let me back in the barn now?”

The cow communicates by thought bubble, because, as every farmer knows, cows cannot speak.

Who Hyde Park’s latest street artist is remains a mystery, but with mention of “post-Jungian analysis,” I’d bet they’re a university student. So, next time you’re around the intersection of Garfield and Woodlawn, keep your eyes peeled, you might just spot the farmer releasing more of his herd.
