Going Mobile

Going Mobile from Andrew Roddewig on Vimeo.

On October 30th the Sixty Inches From Center (SIFC) team rented a truck, built a photo booth and took to the streets of Chicago to spread the word about Sixty Inches From Center. Artists Hebru Brantley and Brooks Golden designed original work to go on each side of the truck. Nicolette Caldwell and Tempestt Hazel toured around the city showing off their work meeting with many people along the way. The truck made stops at Hyde Park Arts Center, South Side Community Arts Center, and Chicago Urban Arts Society. SIFC team members set up a photo both for the public to have their picture taken and get to know SIFC. A projection screen inside the truck displayed footage from previous interviews and images from each location that day. SIFC’s media advisor Andrew Roddewig and his company Clarion New Media produced the video above. The video highlights the day and the mission of SIFC. This is the kind of connectivity that SIFC is aiming to achieve in the Chicago arts communities and they have only just begun.
