Artist and fellow documenter of the arts MartinJon speaks with many people across the city who help build, maintain and practice art in Chicago. As part of the growing series of Sixty Inches From Center Exchange partnerships, his ChicagoArts videos will be featured on our website as part of Sixty’s effort to promote others doing the same kind of work we do. In this video Martin speaks to Chicago-based artist Bibiana Suárez about her recent exhibition Memoria (Memory) at Hyde Park Art Center, which reveals the shifting nature of memory, place, and identity, particularly within the Latino community.
